Why now

Online stores are where most of the risk is.

Accessibility problems keep people from buying, and in the US they increasingly end up in court. A toolbar on top of your site doesn’t change that. Fixing the issues in your theme does.

How it works

Set it up once. Hear from us every Monday.

  1. Step 1: Add your site

Paste your address and pick the pages that matter. It takes about a minute, and there’s nothing to install.

  2. Step 2: We scan it every week

Accessibility, speed and SEO basics, checked automatically. Same pages, same rules, so changes are easy to spot.

  3. Step 3: You get what changed and how to fix it

One email: what got worse, what got better, and a plain-English fix for your platform.

What we check

Three areas, one score, one email.

Accessibility

Automated WCAG 2.2 checks.

  • Color contrast
  • Missing alt text
  • Form labels
  • Button and link names
  • Heading structure
  • Page language and ARIA misuse

Automated tests catch only part of the issues. We flag what needs a human look.

Speed

Core Web Vitals, measured with Lighthouse.

  • Largest Contentful Paint
  • Cumulative Layout Shift
  • Total Blocking Time
  • Oversized images
  • Render-blocking files
  • Page weight

Lab measurements on a mid-range phone, so weeks compare fairly.

SEO basics

The technical things search engines need.

  • Titles and meta descriptions
  • One H1 and heading order
  • Broken links (404)
  • Indexability: noindex, robots.txt
  • Canonical URLs and sitemap.xml
  • Open Graph for sharing

No keyword tracking. Just the basics most small sites get wrong.

Fix guides

Not “error 1.4.3”. Here’s what to click.

Every issue in your report comes with a short guide for the platform you actually use. Here’s one, straight from a sample report.

Fail:Accessibility issue

Low color contrast on “Add to cart” button

Rule
WCAG 2.2 · 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum)
Found on
12 product pages
Why it matters
Low-contrast text is hard to read with low vision, and for anyone on a phone in bright sun.
Add to cart
Fail:2.22:1 Before, needs 4.5:1
Add to cart
Pass:9.69:1 After

How to fix it

Dawn and most Online Store 2.0 themes

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes and click Customize.
  2. Open Theme settings (the paintbrush icon) and choose Colors.
  3. Pick the color scheme your product pages use and set Solid button background to a darker shade, for example #1D4D35.
  4. Click Save. White text on that green has a 9.69:1 ratio, well above the 4.5:1 minimum.

Next week’s scan checks it again and tells you if the fix worked.

Honest by design

An early warning system, not a magic fix.

Plenty of tools promise a fully compliant site in one click. We don’t, because it isn’t true. In 2025 the US Federal Trade Commission fined one widget vendor $1 million(opens in a new tab) for exactly that claim. Here’s what you can count on.

What we do

  • Find common accessibility, speed and SEO issues automatically, every week
  • Explain each fix in plain English, for your platform
  • Tell you which issues need a human review
  • Show exactly what changed since last week

What we don’t

  • Sell overlay widgets or toolbars
  • Promise legal compliance. No tool can.
  • Pretend to catch everything. Automated tests find only part of the issues.
  • Hide problems behind a nice-looking score

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

Something else? Email hello@fixsprout.com.

Is this ADA or WCAG compliance?

No, and no tool can honestly promise that. Automated tests find only part of the accessibility issues on a site. Whether a site works for disabled people also depends on things only a human can judge, like whether alt text makes sense or a checkout can be completed with a keyboard.

FixSprout helps you find and fix common issues early, and tells you which ones need a human review. It’s automated testing and guidance, not legal advice.

Which platforms do you support?

We can scan any public website. Fix guides are written for Shopify, WordPress (including WooCommerce) and Webflow. For other platforms you get general guidance that a developer can follow.

How is this different from an accessibility widget?

A widget adds a toolbar on top of your site. It doesn’t change the code underneath, so the problems are still there. In 2025 the US Federal Trade Commission fined one widget vendor $1 million for claiming its product made websites compliant.

FixSprout points to the actual problem in your theme or content and explains how to fix it, so the fix stays fixed.

Do you store my data?

We store your email, the sites you add, and the results of scanning their public pages. That’s it. This website uses no cookies and no tracking scripts, and we never sell or share your data. The privacy policy has the details.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Plans are month to month (or year to year), and you can cancel at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and you won’t be charged again.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. If FixSprout isn’t right for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we’ll refund it in full. No questions asked.
